Ireland’s oldest children's charity the ISPCC has launched its Holly Bake fundraiser sponsored by Betty Crocker.

ISPCC Mayo is currently recruiting volunteers for its Childline Service. It will be holding group meetings in ISPCC Castlebar on Thursday November 28 at 6.30pm and Wednesday December 4 at 6.30pm for prospective Childline volunteers.

Cheerios Childline Breakfast Together Week takes place from October 7 to 13. Over the past six years this event has become one of the biggest fundraisers for Childline with last year’s event raising more than €225,000 for the Childline service which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary. Breakfasts big and small will take place around the country and Childline is encouraging everyone to host or attend a breakfast.

The ISPCC’s Childline service, along with other child helplines across the globe, is marking the seventh annual International Child Helpline Day and celebrating the vital role of child helplines in listening to and supporting children. In marking this important day, the ISPCC has announced Childline’s annual statistics for 2012. The statistics clearly show the importance of Childline with almost 800,000 calls received in 2012.

May 13 to May 19 marks National Volunteering Week and the ISPCC Mayo would like to take this opportunity to celebrate their volunteers during this week and acknowledge the time and commitment given by them.

ISPCC Mayo is looking to recruit volunteers in its Childline, advocacy, and mentoring areas. To inform people about different opportunities which are available, there will be a group information session on Thursday April 25 at 6.30pm, in the Castlebar office in the N5 Business Park on the Moneen Road.

To coincide with the Cheerio's Childline Breakfast week ISPCC Castlebar is holding its annual fundraising breakfast morning today (Friday October 12) from 10am to 12 noon at the ISPCC office, Unit 14c, N5 Business Park, Moneen, Castlebar.

Some of Ireland’s leading milliners will create headpieces for the Glamour at the g fashion event next Wednesday May 16 at the g Hotel.

The ISPCC in Mayo is urgently recruiting volunteers for its Childline service. A group interview and information evening will be held on Tuesday May 8 at 6.30pm at ISPCC office, Unit 14c, N5 Business Park, Moneen, Castlebar.

Some of the country’s leading designers and milliners will headline the “Glamour at the g” fashion event at the five star g Hotel on Wednesday May 16 at 6pm.
